The course acts as an interdiction to the discipline of Industrial Design. The course will bridge the previous years content and skills with a more progressive and formulated method of Design. Students will define, develop and design projects of an increasingly complex nature. An emphasis will be put on the use scenario, rational, functionality, ergonomics, structure and the manufacturability aspects of the products. A fundamental methodology of the design process will be executed incorporating such mile stones as the design brief, concept sketches, scale mock-ups, technical drawings and models. Classes will be held in both small groups as well as larger lecture format grouping.
