Tool BoxFrom the exacto knife to milling machines and lathes, from card board models to digital models- a vast array of materials, technologies and forming techniques are all part of the designers Tool Box. The course helps develop and refine skills and the understanding of 'how things are made' spanning the crafts man through the design department's metal/wood/plastic shop and all the way to industry. The latter part of the course will pursue various strategies of model making as well as the exercising of other languages fluent to designers. The course's structure will incorporate 'field trips', frontal lectures as well as work in smaller groups.
