The staged photography allows the photographer to create a world that takes place in the studio or in a location. The course will focus on acquiring the tools to create a staged world, carefully planned by the selection of objects and backgrounds, and a use of artificial light. The heart of the course will be held as a practical workshop in small groups. We will work with cameras in various formats both in film and digital format. We will learn about the lighting equipment and accessories we use in the studio. Students will receive assignments in staged photography that they will perform during class. The course is comprised of theory, analysis of the work of masters in the field, practical work and criticism.
