Comics have been drawn and published since the first days of Zionizm in Europe. Later on it continued its role in Palestine later to become the State of Israel. As a popular medium it has reflected and represented not only the mood of the Israelis, but has reacted to daily events – local and mundane events as well as to conflicts and important fatal issues, taking a critical stand with the intention to shed a new point of view on them. Ther purpose of the course is to shed light on Israeli Comics with emphasis on its development in Israel (before and after the foundation of the State), its leading comics' artisis such as Lea Goldberg who wrote 'Uri Muri" painted by Arie Navon, Pinhas Sade writing 'The mystery Island' painted by Elisheva Ravdal, Uri Finck's Zbeng and Dudu Geva's 'Zik the Knight'.
