City Beyond Walls : Between Confines and Opportunities

(21.3.2018, 16:30-20:00, Hansen House, 14 Gdalyahu Alon st. Jerusalem, )

The unique urban challenge of Jerusalem, which urges us to consider both theoretically and through design actions the different walls that cross the city, is at the core of the debate this evening. The event is part of the international student workshop of the Learning from Jerusalem Lab, taking place annually in the Urban Design Program at Bezalel. This year, the lab will work on mapping and analyzing hybrid conditions of publicness in private spaces and vice versa, focusing on HaNevi'im Street in Jerusalem as a case study and as a ground for design intervention. The event will bring together lecturers and students from ETH Zurich's Urban Think Tank and Bezalel's Graduate Program in Urban Design for a debate on the challenges of walls in urban space, between confines and opportunities.
Entrance is free, more details in the attached invitation and at the event
