, 2011, Graduated 2011, Jewelry and Fashion
This jewelry series relates to an injury sustained during military service, as a result of which a limb was amputated  and to the complex process of coping and recuperating, which is difficult for the injured person as well as for the society surrounding him/her. The objective of these jewelry items is to create a dialog around the process, enable onlookers to draw closer, touch and attempt to understand.
The series consists of five lapel brooches and two jewelry pieces designed to be worn on the stump. War ribbons provided a conceptual and design source of inspiration and various disassembling and reassembling techniques were used in the creation process.
Materials: 925 sterling silver, embroidery threads, nail polish, epoxy resin
Techniques: sawing, soldering, casting, embroidery.
Dimensions: 20x0.8x0.3cm – 5.4x1.4x0.8 cm.
