Bezalel 2011: Graduates Exhibition
Sivan Waxman, Volume in Process
, 2011, Graduated 2011, Jewelry and Fashion

Clothing patterns chart the body and outline its various sections as we know them: hip, shoulder, chest, thighs, etc. This collection aspires to chart the body differently by finding new meeting points and creating a new silhouette and proportion for the body. Structural iron elements define the body differently and give it new shape and volume while using the principles of repetitive formality and multi-shade colorfulness. The body was examined in two ways: one – building the objects while referring to certain points in the body, and the other – building a symmetrical shape that is unrelated to the body, which links to it at a specific point when it is worn.

Materials: iron, stainless steel, various threads, synthetic rubber, car paint
