This collection focuses on the concept of visual impairment. Growing up with a vision-impaired mother, I chose to showcase this subject through a different lens. My goal was to raise awareness and bring this hardship, which is often invisible, to the public eye. With these pieces of jewelry, I was able to give the visually impaired aids that have both functional and aesthetic value. The pieces portray human fragility through the visual of large objects relying on delicate hinges – which, in my opinion, is a clear representation of visual impairment.
