I went to study at Bezalel Academy as a ballet dancer after a long and prolonged treatment for anorexia.
My final project is the inner process that I underwent with myself. I wanted the project to reflect on me, to be elegant, naughty, honest, and revealing.
I created an exposed dressmaking pattern from small and complex parts against the clear borders of the shape of the body, which is essentially me.
It entails the fear, the anxiety, the control, the honesty, the repetition, the security, and the insecurity, which are all part of anorexia.
Ballet is my safe place. I want my clothes to have the same confidence that reflects the process, bipolarism, passing thought, reflection, regret and determination, all at the same time.
Inspired by the confidence in ballet, I chose to use glass, which is both fragile and delicate, and at the same time strong and withstanding.
I want to be a woman with a quiet and strong intensity, internally and externally.
I want my project to be a mirror of all that is me.
Quiet power.
