In recent years I have been approaching religion as part of a process.
I experience the Mitzvot as a deep and moving experience.
As part of the connection, I feel the need to create objects
Through which I create my personal ceremony.
Ceremony is a kind of a pattern, it consists of a sequence of actions
Carried out in a particular environment and in regular cycles.
The ceremony gives importance to things,
Symbolizes strengthening and allows for the accumulation of strength.
The ceremony I chose began on Friday,
Occurs during the lighting of the Sabbath candles and covering the challahs, And so distinguishes between holy and unholy,
And so balances me for a new week.
I created covers for challahs and candlesticks.
