For my final project, I chose to examine my personal and creative process – in particular, my tendency to take two parallel approaches that contradict each other and complement one another: chaos and order.
Through theoretical research and experimentation with diverse materials, I encountered reticulation techniques. The result was set in 3D printed jewelry.
Reticulation is a silversmithing technique in which the surface of precious metals is processed in high temperatures, combining them with various other materials.
The items I created combine reticulation, engaging with chaos, and the 3D printing technique – engaging with order. The combination touches upon these two conflicting aspects of myself.
Materials:
Silver 925
3D printing
Nylon sls
