The local landscape is charged with many images and meanings; it is dynamic and changes according to the reality that surrounds it on a specific time. This landscape is also an integral part of my conflicted identity.

I live within local definitions, observing and fantasizing about how the Palestinian landscape will look when put inside a gallery, and what will they bring to mind? How is the landscape expressed  in my works, and what is left of it when it is represented outside of its natural surroundings?
I chose to paint with a free hand, on concrete walls, inside a white room, to express the duality of my experience, accompanied by the landscapes behind the separation wall and within it.
