In my art I always deal with my city of Jerusalem. In my paintings, I decided to present and talk about my city with its cultural and famous personalities and how it looks like from my perspective by using decoupage. The Golden City of Jerusalem is one of the oldest historic cities in the world and is considered to be the holy city for the three central religions in the world: Judaism Christianity, and Islam, as the chronical order for the emergence of these major religions. The city of Jerusalem encloses wide range of ancient historic sites that are considered to be holy to the three devotions. Jerusalem is viewed as prosperous with history and have passed through historical eras, which make it difficult to grasp or to stand on one single period that could reflect the uniqueness the city. The city of Jerusalem has known different types of political authorities and knew different types of cultural heritages that have changed and influenced the structure and shape of the city through years. In addition, the city was destroyed several times and most of the buildings were rebuilt more than once.  It does not matter what you believe or worship over all, the truth is that Jerusalem is considered a rich and varied piece of art and it will remain the city of peace, an important cultural symbol and great inspiration for art and peace.
