The work was created in the desire to share an extreme mental state and a powerful emotional experience. However, the attempt to represent trauma is doomed to fail and touches on the impossibility to share its manifestations with others.
Corresponding with the tendency of many in this situation to disconnect and escape from reality, to live in an alternative reality, in a state of constant wandering without destination – the absence of narrative continuity, context and focus, are the artistic means in this video work.
The video was shot in a fragmentary structure that attests to a desire to deny and to withdraw alongside the need in recognition or declaration of an active and forming memory of coping with a challenging reality.
