Ilana Elovic was born an artist. It manifested itself in her early childhood and truly only crystallized in a later stage of her life. Her artistic talent was recognized in the Israeli army, where she served as a cartographer in the Intelligence Corp. upon the completion of her military service she was employed as a draftsman in one of Israel's most prestigious architectural firms. Throughout the years she experimented with various artistic forms, from knitting to glass design.
When she was afflicted with cancer she focused on ceramics, painting and later drawing.
Ilana created until the last moment of her life, as if she wanted to accomplish as much as possible in the limited time she had.
