LEARNING FROM JERUSALEM

(10.4.2014)

Would you like to study one semester in Jerusalem?

Come spend one semester in Jerusalem, one of the most fascinating cities in the world!

“LEARNING FROM JERUSALEM” is a unique and innovative semester programme, March–June 2015, conducted in English, offered by the Graduate Programme in Urban Design at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. The Urban Design programme is known for its critical, integrative and interdisciplinary nature.
The programme focuses on the relationships between urban design and everyday life in Jerusalem. It aims to highlight the complexity of urban conflicts in Jerusalem not solely as a unique case, but rather as an urban arena that could be used as a laboratory for understanding urban conflicts elsewhere and possible agendas for their resolution.
The visiting students will attend courses dealing with the planning history of Jerusalem and the architecture[s] of conflict[s], as well as a design studio. They will study in the beautiful and historically important Hansen Campus, near the city centre.
