Bezalel students to design new Teva packaging
Teva Pharmaceuticals and the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem will join forces in a new venture that will see Bezalel students design the new Acamol Focus packaging for Teva.
According to News1, the students will compete and the winning design will become part of the pharmaceutical giant's brand artwork.
Teva executive Hadar Merhav-Neeman said that "the OTC (over the counter) market is constantly evolving, in Israel and worldwide, and it requires dynamic strategies in terms of visually communicating with the client.
"As Israel's leading pharmaceutical company, we naturally sought the creativeness of Israel's future designers.
Adi Stern, head of the Department of Visual Communication in Bezalel, added that the academy values its cooperation with the industry and "works with various bodies to develop new and innovative projects. Using Bezalel allows companies access to young, innovative and fresh designs."
Sales of Teva's Acamol Focus amounted to $1.5 million in 2009.
