DesignAI - A Practical Exploration of the intersection of Industrial Design and Machine learning.
Machine learning is a name for a set of methods that give systems the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed.
While these methods are complex, in practice, the technology of machine learning is only one (small) part of any system using it.
The other two components are the product, which represents the business perspective, and the design, that focuses on the user’s experience
Machine learning is entering its golden age and we will increasingly see it integrate into physical and non-physical products.
While engineers work hard to advance the technology, it is today more important than ever that designers get hands-on experience with machine learning; not only with the technology but also with the core capabilities and the key concepts and how they impact and inform user experience.
In the course, we will examine the relationship between machine learning and design, exploring different use scenarios, ideation. User experience.
The course Intended for 3rd and 4th-year students and integrated students’ program.
"In the course, we will examine the relationship between machine learning and design, exploring its impact on user experience in real-world implementations."
