The building detail is an integral part of the concept and derives directly from it, it is not a technical thing that comes after thought but an integral part of the planning process.

The details contain all the architecture layers inside of them and in their power to present the most distilling way the architectural concept and the relationships between the parts of the building, the materials that make it a space, the construction methods and the various systems that combine the building as one.

The course deals with the recognition of the different levels of the building and its components with an emphasis on detailed scale and the individuals composing it. As part of this discussion, we will discuss the functional systems of the structure: insulation, sealing, integration of supporting systems, thinking about concepts such as green design and more.
