The Undergraduate Program in Landscape Architecture invites you to a guest lecture by Prof. Brad Cantrell - 'Synthetic Mudscapes' in the series Making Landscape.

Where does the discipline of landscape architecture stake its footing in the ecologically complex and technologically abstract realm of contemporary society? To confront the intractable issues of our time it is necessary to unpack the technologies and subsequent interactions that operate at the scale of the territory.

Cantrell is the Department Chair at University of Verginia's graduate program in Landscape Architecture. His work focuses on the role of computation and media in environmental and ecological design.

Lecture will be held in English.
