Bezalel’s Israel Prize Recipients
Established in 1953, the Israel Prize is Israel’s highest cultural honor. In 1958, this important accolade was bestowed upon the institution which is Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem, for its unique contribution to the State of Israel in the fields of Painting and Sculpture. Over the years, the Israel Prize was awarded to 13 other notable graduates of the Academy for their extraordinary accomplishments. They are an expression of the quality and excellence Bezalel is renowned for.
