Guest Lecture | Arch. Gabriel Hernández

Archaeology of Practice
Date:
4.7.24

The School of Architecture invites to a special guest lecture: Arch. Gabriel Hernández -  'Archaeology of Practice'.

Bruno Latour argues that archival research can uncover the complex networks and processes of producing scientific and technical knowledge - perfectly applied to architectural thinking, making, and building. Understanding the context in which documents were created, preserved, and accessed is vital for interpreting their significance. In his lecture, Arch. Gabriel Hernández will share his recent experiences in archival research and ethnography of design, questioning the role of memory and legacy in actively shaping architectural practice and their narratives.

Host: Arch. Hila Shemer

Thursday | 4.7.24 | 18:30
