Graduates Exhibition | Master’s Program in Visual Communication (M.Des.)

2024
Date:
28.11.24

The Master’s Program in Visual Communication (M.Des.) invites to the 2024 Graduate Exhibition 'All Too Human'.

We live in an age of crises. On the local, global and even planetary scale, the consequences of humanity’s actions are threatening biodiversity and irrevocably changing our habitats. When dealing with a collective crisis, imagery and narrative are essential to our understanding of the situation as well as our ability to respond or imagine a way out of it.

The Visual Communication Graduate Exhibition suggests ideas, fictions and interventions that touch on humanity’s place in an era of crisis, expressing uneasiness at the promise of a better future offered by modernity and humanism based on the power of rational, scientific, technological and anthropocentric thinking. Each work, in its way, proposes post-humanistic narratives and alternative visions of a different type of humanity, questioning why humans are the norm against which everything in the world is measured.
