This is a practical seminar which convenes weekly for the purpose of discussing the works of the participants in a social-collective context. The students work in groups, guided by tutors from the staff. The seminar is a wide framework designed to develop and diversify the treatment and discussion of the personal work processes in the studio; in other words, to think beyond and outside the box (studio). It provides the student with the opportunity to develop eloquence and self-confidence when discussing his or her own and others’ works. Special emphasis is placed on the encouragement and examination of the student’s personal process and internal logic in the wider context of the current artistic scene. The seminar is based on the development of thought frameworks and their conversion into practice. It will comprise various frameworks of discussions, personal and/or exhibitions and activities held in the program’s public work spaces. The meetings are in class format, enabling the distinction between year one and second year students, as regards the artistic work and its theoretical, cultural and social contexts.
