There is always a time and place for the curatorial act. Accordingly - in the course, we will observe and investigate two emanations from which curatorial action grows: the concept - the internal grammar of the curator, the representative of the spirit of the times; And the site - the context from which the action grows and is directed to. The two emanations must work together during the exhibition's work process and even more so when a curator leads an institution.
The name of the course draws inspiration from the founding exhibition "Concept+Information" (1971) curated by Yona Fischer at the Israel Museum, which heralded the entry of conceptual art into the local field. The course indicates the need to plant conceptual thought within concrete conditions that provide an essential and genuine connection to curatorial action.
