Time 10:00 - 11:30

The pre-seminar aims to familiarize participants with contemporary theories in photography as a visual culture and to conduct independent research in the field. The course is divided into two levels: one provides guidance on writing pre-seminar research work, while the other focuses on the specific content related to "Time, Space, and Verticality in Photography." The course explores two prevailing photographic practices: aerial photography and spatial photography. Throughout the course, we will examine the types of "world images" enabled by the vertical gaze and spatial photography. We will also investigate the targeting, tracking, documentation, and resistance these practices offer.
