Video in the Digital Age

Digital art penetrates, reflects and produces a wide range of social and relevant phenomena in the internet age, and allows various artists a dynamic platform that creates powerful means of expression. This course will enable a critical examination of the creative factors in art and digital culture, from the conceptual, formal, and broad technological social aspects with an emphasis on the video medium. In the course we will examine a wide variety of topics including internet art, digital animation and cinema, virtual body (avatar), digital video, virtual galleries and exhibitions, digital interactivity, computer games, etc.
