Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari's schizoanalysis emphatically defies Freud's psychoanalysis and offers a radically different view on one's relation to oneself, to society and to the environment. It also offers a unique way of creating and appreciating works of art and other cultural products based on performative experimentation.

In this seminar we will examine Deleuze and Guattari's main contentions against psychoanalysis and the alternative they propose and explore some of their key concepts such as desiring machines, body without organs, rhizome and becoming. We will hence extract from schizonalysis practical tools to be used when engaging in or with a creative act and use them to experiment with works of art, literature, drama, film, etc.

Seminar classes will combine theoretical study with practical exercises. Schizoanalytical research will be conducted in this seminar in multiple ways and using different methods, and its products will be delivered in a variety of formats.
