Curatorial Conceptual Workshop

This workshop will follow and actively participate in the making of the second Autonomous Art Biennale, which will open in April 2025 in Tel Aviv. The meetings will be composed of theoretical and practical components. We will discuss some of the central notions of art-criticism and contemporary curatorial practices by discussing specific art projects and proposals, exhibition layouts, production and media, drafting short curatorial texts and working on the accompanying program. We will explore the relations between the artist and the curator, visual and material culture, the exhibition as medium, the catalog as a site, curating as framing time and events, art and the public space, and more. The final work would also be part curatorial action and part writing and discussion.
