Introduction to Metalsmithing/Jewelry 1 Introduction to metalsmithing raw materials; their qualities and behaviors, experience in working with these materials from the moment of melting to the subsequent creation of alloys. Study of basic hand work techniques, metalsmithing tools, design and construction of simple objects. The students will exercise designing and producing objects utilizing the knowledge and experience acquired, developing a creative process based on the physical, traditional and cultural attributes of the materials used in metalsmithing.
