This year's research topic will be about feminism in art and design. We will focus on two questions: What happened, in history, to all the women artists? What are the current conditions for women artists? We will investigate works of art and design from an interdisciplinary perspective, that is, we will ask questions about art and design by applying research methods from the social sciences (sociology, psychology, economics, etc.) and the humanities (history, philosophy, comparative research, etc.). Feminist approaches will allow us to examine the field of art and design.

Knowledge and research skills are essential for creative work, just as the creativity can serve as the basis for research. This Proseminar has two main goals: 1. To learn and practice ways of observing, reading texts, searching various databases, applying research methodologies, defining research topic, formulating of research questions; 2. Applying the above skills in a written paper on a selected topic.
