David Adika is a photographer, artist, and Head of the Photography Department at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem. A senior lecturer in the Department of Photography since 1999, he holds bachelor’s (BFA) and master’s (MFA) degrees from Bezalel.
David Adika’s work focuses on the visual and cultural facets of the local Middle Eastern space as a microcosm that reflects his social and family identity. His photographic corpus contains representations of various still life and portraits, blurring the boundaries between abstract conceptual language and lavish visual accuracy. Adika’s visual research explores intimate yet universal biographies, while the photographs unfold familiar and unfamiliar aspects of everyday life and highlight questions of taste and social status.
Adika has had many solo exhibitions in Israeli and international venues, among them Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the Art Museum in Riga, Latvia, Bologna MUSEI, Casa Morandi, Italy, Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art, and Braverman Gallery in Tel Aviv. He has won many awards, including the Minister and the Emerging Artist Prizes from the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and the Jack Nailor Award for Photography. His photographs are included in many collections, such as the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Haifa Museum of Art, Petach Tikva Museum of Art, Casa Morandi in Italy, the Knesset and private collections in Israel and abroad.

Noam Dover (b. 1975) questions the traditional boundaries between design, crafts and production; addresses the cultural origins of materials and techniques; and creates objects that tell the story of their making.
Originating from industrial design, Noam’s work has shifted to hands-on craft, specialising in glass and ceramics. A keen open source technology maker and fascinated by craft history, Noam is looking for ways to create a synergy between traditional craft and digital fabrication. He sees his work as part of a chronology of craft knowledge, where today’s digital developments present new opportunities to the craft community, through open sourcing and an innovative approach. He is developing ceramic and glass 3D printers, tailored for a studio environment.
Received an MFA in Craft! Ceramics and Glass department, Konstfack University of Art, Craft and Design, Stockholm, Sweden. B.Des. in Industrial design from Bezalel.
He has exhibited worldwide, including Design/Miami, Milan’s design fair and London’s design festival. His work has won numerous prizes and is included in the collection of Holon Design Museum (IL) and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
A multidisciplinary artist practicing lens based art and digital spaces. Examining art and technology simultaneously, she is interested in the junction between imagery, computer vision and human perception.
Dror graduated with a B.F.A. in photography from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and The Cooper Union School of Art, in New York. She is a lecturer specializing in digital art as a part of the faculty at the Art department of the Bezalel academy.
She received an excellence grant for artists from the Rabinovich Foundation in 2018. Her works have been exhibited at the CCA , the Weizmann institute for science, Rozenfeld Gallery, Beit Ha'ir Museum, Mane Katz museum, Bar David Museum, The Design Week Fair at the Hansen House to name a few. Her Work was published in a variety of publications including- The Dossier Journal and the Weizmann Institute’s annual catalog. She was also commissioned to collaborate on projects with the renowned fashion brand Comme Il Faut, the Tel Aviv Cinematheque and the municipality of the city of Beer Sheva as a VJ and visual director.
Her works are included in public and private collections worldwide.
Lena Dubinsky is a designer, a researcher, and a lecturer at the Ceramics and Glass Design Department. In her work, she explores the issues related to the renewed recognition of the designer's social and environmental responsibility and the ethical aspects of doing and self-production. Dubinsky looks after opportunities to realize local material language and manufacturing values in the age of globalization. Her work is included in international exhibitions and collections, and she received several prizes and grants. Additionally, she curates' exhibitions and writes articles concerning craft in the contemporary world.
As an educator in Bezalel, she focused on design-oriented problem solving for sociological and ecological issues. She was the Head of Product Design Specialization in Ceramic and Glass Design Department between 2008-2014. Since 2014 she is holding a position as Senior researcher and the head of Research Cluster Group "Material Design" in Bezalel Research and Innovation Authority. She worked as a guest lecturer in numerous institutions in Israel and Europe.
Lena earned a bachelor's degree with honors at Bezalel Academy. She finished her master's degree with honors at Tel Aviv University. Her thesis discussed the aesthetic and political implications of city plans developed by the Jerusalem Committee formed to modernize architecture and municipal design in Jerusalem after 1967. At present, she is a doctoral candidate at the Computational Archaeology Laboratory and the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, The Hebrew University. Her dissertation focuses on developing a method for analyzing archeological engraving techniques, using the "Chariots" engraving at the Timna site as her study case.
Prof. Dr. Zvi Efrat, Architect and Architectural Historian, is partner at Efrat-Kowalsky Architects (EKA) and was Head of the Department of Architecture at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem (2002-2010). He holds B.Arch. from Pratt Institute, MA. In Cinema Studies from NYU and PhD. In Architectural History and Theory from Princeton University. He has taught and lectured worldwide, published extensively and curated numerous exhibitions.
His book, The Israeli Project: Building and Architecture 1948-1973, was published in Hebrew in 2004 by the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. His book The Object of Zionism, The Architecture of Israel was published by Spector Books, Leipzig, in 2018.
Among the recent projects of Efrat-Kowalsky Architects (EKA): Performing Arts Campus in Jerusalem: The Israel Museum in Jerusalem (renewal and expansion); City Museum of Tel Aviv (preservation and new additions): The Ramat Gan Museum of Israeli Art; The Holocaust Museum in Thessaloniki, Greece.
