Screening of the award-winning short doco-animation ‘Holy Holocaust’
The Department of Screen-based Arts invites the general public to the screening of the award-winning short docu-animation ‘Holy Holocaust’, and to meet the filmmakers Noa Berman-Herzberg and Ossie Wald, lecturers in the department.
The creators will talk about the process of creation and co-directing, provide a glimpse into the visual and conceptual development processes of the film, and share the ethical and artistic questions that arise when making a personal film that touches on a "sacred" national issue. The lecture will include "making of" sections, including early versions of the design, photographed references and more.
Ossie Wald, animator director and animator, and Noa Berman-Herzberg, screenwriter and script editor, are independent filmmakers and lecturers in the department. The film ‘Holy Holocaust’ was recently purchased by the prestigious New Yorker magazine.
