Following the Ministry of Defense's request to assist in the sewing of equipment for soldiers, the Department of Jewlery and Fashion and the Department of Industrial Design have opened a sewing workshop in which lecturers, students, and civilians take part, repairing uniforms and military equipment for soldiers and reservists.

Shelly Satat-Kombor, head of the Jewelry and Fashion Department, said that the academy established the emergency sewing center where protective garments, grenades cases, and bandoliers are sewn, along with the repair of uniforms and military equipment for soldiers and reservists. "We are working alongside civilian volunteer headquarters who interface with the army and update us on shortages”.
