77% of Nominees and Finalists for the Edmund de Rothschild Award for Design – Bezalel Graduates and Faculty

Bezalel Academy of Art and Design Jerusalem congratulates its graduates and faculty who were nominated for the Edmund de Rothschild Award for Design for 2024 – 77% of award nominees are Bezalel Academy graduates, professors, and lecturers. 

The Edmund de Rothschild Award for Design, founded by the Edmund de Rothschild Foundation, aims to promote and encourage excellence through public recognition of designers with a high caliber portfolio of significant volume, to identify and support emerging designers, boost local interest in contemporary design and enhance international exposure to Israeli design. Establishing a prestigious prize dedicated to contemporary Israeli design will enable designers to be seen and heard beyond the local professional space, with the aim of encouraging a variety of voices and new design works. 

The final list of nominees was compiled from over 200 portfolios of the designers who submitted nominations for the prize, which this year is being awarded in the field of visual communication.
