Amit Soffer, a fourth-year student at the Department of Photography, in an article on Haaretz’s photography blog “Exposure”. Some of the photographs were taken as part of her studies in the department.

From the article: “For as long as I can remember, photography has been a bridge to the outside world for me. More than a documentary tool, it has been a mediator helping me to deal with and decipher reality. The camera gave me a deeper perspective, the ability to discern nuances and reveal the vulnerability of the truth. Through it, I was able to get closer to the moments that are difficult to observe with the naked eye, and discover the fleeting, elusive layers. The camera became an interpreter of the complex and painful reality.”

Haaretz’s photography blog “Exposure” provides a platform for photographers from Israel and around the world and strives to broaden the perspective on a variety of personal, social, and global issues.
