“The connection between design and architecture and the Nazi regime underscores a fundamental insight: Design is not simply the creation of beautiful or functional items, it is a tool for shaping reality and the mind. The architecture of the camps, the standardized uniforms, the symbols, the fonts, even the choreography of the daily rollcall—all of these directly served Nazi ideology. This design intended to not only make the extermination process more efficient but also to reinforce psychological control over the victims and the whole society.”
