RUNWAY The course will focus on the "face of reality" after graduation, developing a personal perspective, based on the intentions of each student towards his professional future, combining knowledge acquisition, group discussions, and personal experience. The sessions will include: - An overview of the variety of options the profession has to offer and a discussion of the designer's place in the industry and the society. - Meeting with graduates, designers and business owners who will present "test cases" from their personal experience. - Meetings with experts in related fields such as innovation, funding platforms, intellectual property and more. - Personal work on defining professional intentions and building an infrastructure for a professional profile - identifying strengths / weaknesses, portfolio, resume. - Preparatory work as support for the internship framework of the students in companies and design offices during the summer vacation. The course is one semester-long and takes part in a weekly meeting, continuously accompanied by the studio facilitators and will host external professionals in the context of the above topics.

Sketching is an ancient artistic practice that over generations has been used by artists to create outlines but also as a work in itself. The course will allow students to get closer to the field of drawing and to have practical and experiential experience in its various aspects: classic and traditional technical practice, experience with contemporary techniques and forms in drawing, drawing as a tool for sharpening visual perception and expression, drawing as a tool for developing the thought and concept of projects. Later in the course we will deal with the interdisciplinary encounter between drawing and other visual practices. The class will include practical practice in the classroom, lectures and theoretical introduction to drawings, impressions and artists who use drawing in an interdisciplinary manner, homework, submissions and class review.

Introduction to design thought processes, concept development, choice-making processes, finalization of designs and decision-making in conjunction with cognitive and emotional human factors. Students will examine the world in which they live and work, from the view points of basic elements of design and product design, through test-cases which touch on the genetics of these values. Throughout the course, they will be exposed to works of art and design to exemplify various processes and design philosophies.
