From Art History to Visual Culture Critisism: Fields and Methods

This course will seek to offer different ways of "reading" images (from various forms of art to various manifestations of visual culture), following the numerous methodologies employed in different academic disciplines (especially those of History of Art and Visual Culture Studies). We will demonstrate the option of using academic research and publications for "popular" culture as well as the use of non-academic writing (and platforms) for "high" art.
