Bezalel Graduate Exhibition תערוכת בוגרי/ות בצלאל معرض خريجات وخريجي بتسلئيل

The graduate exhibition of the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem, in which approximately 400 graduates from all departments are presenting their work, is now underway. 

This is a unique opportunity to discover and experience the talents that have been nurtured by the academy during years of study – now, when the students are on the cusp of becoming leaders in the fields of art, design, and architecture, here and around the world.

This year, the exhibition takes place against the shadow of war and political crisis. Among the variety of projects that express ground-breaking ideas, technological innovation and traditional skills, one can discern traces of contemporary events.  The  exceptional compilation of these impressive projects serves as a living testament to the power of imagination, the strength of creativity, and its potential to offer hope for change.

The exhibition includes student works from the following departments: Screen-Based Arts (video and animation), Industrial Design, Photography, Fine Arts, Jewelry and Fashion, Ceramics and Glass Design, Visual Communication, and Architecture. Additionally, there will be substantive, content-filled events by graduates of the theoretical program of the Department of Visual and Material Culture. Visitors to the exhibition are invited to explore the different departments,  be captivated by the stunning architecture of the campus, admire the transparent workshops and the open galleries, and experience the unique transparency of the building which reveals the workings of the academy to the community while simultaneously affording a view outward.

Bezalel aspires to train creators who pursue excellence, who understand the prevailing environment and recognize the power they hold and the responsibility that lies on their shoulders. These are discerning and active citizens who want and are able to lead and influence culture, society and the economy – locally and globally.

The academy’s commitment is to continue to nurture and train the upcoming generations of creators to face the challenges posed by local realities and the constantly changing world, and to serve as leaders in their fields. This graduate exhibition is their first step on the journey.
