A call for first-generation higher education students to join a leadership workshop

The workshop is intended for first- and second-year students at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem who are members of the first generation in their family to study at an academic institution (whose parents did not study at an academy or college, or obtain a teaching certificate).

The workshop will combine a group meeting with a critical discussion of issues of identity, status and power relations, academic professionalization, and encouragement of activism.

The workshop will start on April 19, 2023 and will include 5 sessions.

Wednesdays 18:30 to 21:30 | Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Bezalel Campus
1 Zmora St., Jerusalem

Participants will receive 2 social credits. In addition, the possibility of receiving a scholarship will be considered.

Workshop requirements: Full attendance at all meetings and submission of a final project.
