"Identity" is interpreted as the fundamental element of human personality. Formation of the "I" is an intersubjective process that takes the form of a "story", which an individual forms of life's experiences in order to give meaning to "self" versus the "Not-I", while building interactions with "the other." This "story" encompasses psychological, social, cultural, and historical aspects expressed in diverse identities – personal, gengender, national, social, communal, moral, religious, and ideological. The seminar discusses many ways in which art explores, formulates, and represents the artist's "identities," as well as influences the identity of the viewers.

The workshop will deal with the illustration of space phenomena by absorbing and constructing a database and presenting them on a geographic information system (GIS). We will understand which databases are opensource and how the raw information can be extracted and adapted to GIS requirements. The information analysis will be performed on ArcGIS online software which is a cloud-based system and simple to operate. Placing the information on a map allows spatial analysis, trend assessment and pattern distinction, which create a rich basis for contextual architectural planning.

In the course, we will examine the "pulse" of the present and investigate how it is expressed in contemporary art, design and architecture. The course is structured as a workshop consisting of lectures, meetings, discussions and exercises in which we will try together to map and understand how cultural, technological, environmental, political and economic trends shape forms of contemporaneity as well as depend on them. During the semester, we will develop our ability to observe the world and our sensitivity to the ground's fluctuations and every student will develop a theoretical or practical research body of work, or a combination of both, concerning this time.

This course is an introductory overview of art history from prehistory to the 17th century. We will discuss the ways in which artistic objects, images and monuments functioned in different social and political contexts. We will look at the ways in which varied artistic styles were experienced and how they expressed and catered to changing audiences. The course will give a basic understanding of the stylistic and historical characteristics of diverse periods, discussing the influence of patronage, religion and society on the artistic work and its interpretation. The course will be given in English.

Over the course of the year, the students will acquire basic tools in the 2D language through hands-on engagement in various drawing-related activities and aspects, such as: 1. Measurements, rhythms, perspective, movement, volume, weight and textures. 2. The human body. 3. Objects in the urban environment. 4. The structure: its nature, characteristics and environment. 5. Openings and their environment. During the course, the students will be introduced to various sources (in terms of place and time) and to the range of options offered by contemporary drawing in view of the past and looking to the future.
