The Department of Visual Communication and the Master's Degree Program in Visual Communication are hosting Mitya Kharshak for a lecture on the contemporary design of cultural institutions - in what visual language do museums, theaters, festivals, and concert halls speak to their audience?

Mitya Kharshak, visual communication designer, editor, and publisher of "Projector" magazine, dean of the School of Design at the HSE St. Petersburg Academy, and a member of the jury of the International European Design Awards competition in 2020 and 2021. Since 2008, his studio has created dozens of projects for leading museums, theaters, and festivals.

In the lecture, Mitya will share his personal view on his work in this field. He will tell about the pitfalls in implementing projects for the cultural sector, how to deliver projects on time, keep customers satisfied, and enjoy the work process.
