Exhibition | 'Shadow Upon Shadow’s Back'

The Master’s Program in Policy and Theory of the Arts invites you to its Curatorial Program’s graduates exhibition, “Shadow Upon Shadow’s Back.”

The exhibition, “Shadow Upon Shadow’s Back,” is composed of Orly Sever's sound work and a collection of interviews conducted with artists. With a view towards an unknown future, we approached them with questions about the role of art in times of crisis: Should art point towards a horizon of recovery, or instead awaken us from the denial in which we live? Should it imagine possible futures or delve into the disaster and examine its scale? And is it perhaps better to surrender to the darkness of the future and the uncertainty, and discover the possibilities that lie within them?
