Hassan Kurd, a graduate of the Department of Jewelry and Fashion, is the winner of the Young Artist Award at the 'Arte Laguna Prize' international competition for contemporary art and design, for his final project, 'Extension of'.

The competition, founded in 2006 in Venice, is one of the most influential competitions in the field of visual art and contemporary design.

Kurd's final project 'Extension of', winner of the 2022 Andy Award for Young Artists at Bezalel, under the direction of Prof. Einat Lider, is handmade with thoughtful craftsmanship in Carrara marble, and includes jewelry and tools that "converse" in their formal and material essence about boundaries, metamorphoses, and transformations between tools and the movement of the body and the material - and the meeting between them.
