Yair Levy, a graduate of the Department of Ceramic and Glass Design, is the winner of the Mila award for a young artist in the field of ceramics.

The award is an initiative of the Association of Creative Artists in Israel and the Association of Ceramic Artists. The purpose of the award is to give a first opportunity to a young artist in the field of ceramics to present a solo exhibition.

From the reasoning of the judging committee: "Levi's works are in the middle between useful pottery and sculpture, and are characterized by a unique voice and the formation of a distinct formal and conceptual 'lexicon', which keeps expanding, but also matures over the years. His works allow a glimpse into his personal world, and identification of the connections between him and the formal language that originates from him. Levy's work processes excel in innovation and constant exploration of the boundaries of form and material and in the study of special processes in the field of ceramic firing."
