Haaretz | Art that wags its tail: elegant dogs at the Holon community center

In an interview with Haaretz, Lior Harel and Alma Ben David, graduates of the Department of  Photography, discuss their final project, “All Things Wise and Wonderful,” which documents dog shows in Israel. “We were astonished by the incredible contrast between the community center in Holon and the elegance of the dogs and their owners, which created the feeling of an international event,” Harel recounts. The two spent about a year traveling to dog shows across the country, held in community and recreation centers, and explored the culture of these competitions, the participants, and the disparities between international glamor and Israeli localism.
