Registration and admission
Application requirements include a high school diploma and a psychometric test. Applicants must present a full matriculation certificate or a certificate of completion of a pre-academic preparatory school from an academic institution in Israel, or a matriculation certificate from abroad and a certificate of equivalency from the Ministry of Education indicating that the certificate is equivalent to Israeli matriculation. Applicants to the program must meet the application requirements of the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem by calculating the matriculation and psychometric average.
Entrance exams: Every candidate for the program must successfully pass practical entrance exams which include the following components: a written exercise, a two-dimensional graphic exercise, and a three-dimensional construction exercise. This exam will be used for the initial screening of candidates. Candidates who successfully pass this stage will be invited to a personal interview.
Candidates who meet the threshold requirements for registration detailed above and successfully pass the entrance exams will be admitted to the program.* Applicants who do not meet the threshold requirements for registration will be able to register under "exceptional" status and take the entrance exams. The percentage of those admitted who do not meet the threshold conditions for registration shall not exceed 10% of all those admitted to the program, in accordance with the September 12, 2017 decision by the Council for Higher Education regarding deviation from admission conditions. Candidates who successfully pass both stages of the entrance exams will be able to begin their studies even if they do not have the required matriculation/psychometric average within the permitted exception. In all cases, a full matriculation certificate or an equivalent certificate is required as a condition for admission to studies.
