New Approaches to Urban Heritage Futures - the Case of Tel Aviv - Yafo

Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem, in coordination with TU Delft and Liebling Haus – The White City Center in Tel Aviv, invites you to the final dissemination event of a three-year research project on urban heritage and spatial planning funded by the HERILAND program, a pan-European research training network and innovation program under the Marie-Curie grant agreement and EU Horizon 2020.

We aim to present ideas, and tools, and propose innovative strategies to create sustainable future landscapes, based on deep history and spatial heritage approaches. The event will have two parts: Presentations of ongoing doctoral research focusing on Tel Aviv- Yafo, followed by a panel discussion of experts engaged in urban conservation, planning, and design projects. 

The event will host talks and discussions addressing the following questions:

  • What do sustainable urban heritage futures look like: socially, economically, and ecologically?
  • What important lessons can history teach us, to guide future practices and interventions?
  • Which new methods and tools can support sustainable urban heritage futures?
