Tamar Alon, a recent graduate from the Department of Jewelry and Fashion, in her graduate project designed glasses you can wear as jewelry on your hand, titled Identity Reinvented – Proximity Beyond the Veil. Vogue Portugal's stylist approached her and the item was chosen to be featured on the cover with installation artist Marina Abramović.

To quote Alon: "During the first week of the war I received an email from one of the stylists of Vogue Portugal who asked if I was interested in sending the glasses for a shoot. I agreed right away, of course, and sent the glasses. It isn't obvious that I am able to present my art these days, certainly in light of growing antisemitism and the calls to boycott Israel around the world. It's important to present Israel's liberal values, and to promote art and culture. The shoot was done on location in London where the atmosphere and discourse are very anti-Israel."
